After-school care

At Dibber International, we offer after-school care for pupils.

The after-school care is an extension of the school day and is built on experience-based and group-oriented learning. The pedagogues plan their activities based on the pupils’ needs, interests and initiatives, and offer a variety of working methods and forms of expression to give all pupils the best opportunities to participate based on their abilities.

The educators in after-school care are included in the work teams for the classes F to year 3. In this way, a holistic view of the pupils’ day is created. It also gives pedagogues the opportunity to provide feedback on the knowledge that pupils work with and develop during the school day. We see that this creates security and provides the best conditions for continued development and learning.

The aim and core content of school-age educare in Sweden

The concept of an educational programme should be given a broad interpretation in school-age educare, where care, development and teaching constitute a whole.

Aim of educational programme in school-age educare

The educational programme, in school-age educare, should stimulate the pupils’ development and learning, as well as offer the pupils meaningful leisure time. This should be done through the educational programme being based on the pupils’ needs, interests and experiences, while ensuring that the pupils are continuously challenged, by inspiring them to make new discoveries. The educational programme should introduce pupils to a variety of ways of working and expressing themselves, and offer them learning environments that integrate childcare and learning.
